If an item doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. Paddle8 does not give you the history or sales prices of items. Great for buyers to avoid burned listings.

This happens often in auctions in general, nothing actually wrong with it, the point i was making was its a good idea to set a price limit you want to pay beforehand not to carried away in the moment, you dont need to defend paddle8 im not attacking them just giving some advice in general to buying at auctions, inspection of the image out of the frame and detailed written condition report is top of the list, talking from experience and hopefully will help some less experience avoid time consumming and stressfull situations ive been in.

Castle is right, and i am not alluding, i am stating fact, it is a fact that they chandelier bid on that work. i happen to know the consignor, sad that they didnt even do the research and see what thats worth, their buyers are the ones who pay the price |

You have to be watching right before the auction ends. Paddle8 does not publish hammer prices, so you have to be watching at the last minute. Great for sellers...terrible for market transparency. |

They were very helpful not only to provide information, but the auction manager took it upon herself to find a comparable piece from the same artist, and I was surprised that she delivered on it a couple of months later and arranged for a private sale with the owner.
