Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by moron on Apr 22, 2020 19:10:24 GMT 1, Why would anyone who does not have corona virus want to be tested?
It's a waste of time and money.
Mobile testing units should have been set up and testing people who believe they have symptons of coronavirus and those people given treatment and masks etc.
Instead of sending letters to everyone Boris should have sent enevelopes with a reusable washable mask inside to everyone.
There again we all know the truth about the lockdown in UK and europe is because there is a huge shortage of masks and politicians would rather enforce martial law instead of letting have masks. Telling them that wearing masks is compulsory when out and about an at work and having no lockdown.
Masks worked in Hong Kong and also in South Korea.
There is a lot the government in UK and other places is covering up. They do not blame the Chinese government for covering up as by doing that, they will admit to being caught with their pants down and covering up for China's cover up.
and regarding the political spin from the Daily telegraph about a cabinet sources saying that the mdeia and people demanded a lockdown so the government went with it. What bolloks. It's the journalists via their newspaper editors producing rhetoric that the government wants people to believe and we all know that some editors and journos quite often work for certain government agencies.
The reason for the lockdown is because there is a huge shortage of masks to give to people.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Terry Fuckwitt on Apr 22, 2020 19:27:35 GMT 1, Has there been any data on people's smoking habits in the past month? Iโm getting through a shรฌt ton more jazz cabbage.
Keep your supplies well stocked! I don't smoke now, but I've had some shitty colds and flu cured quickly by a few bongs.

This says tobacco may have a preventative property in catching Covid19.
Once caught I don't think there's much doubt your chances of a poor outcome are increased if you are a smoker.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by moron on Apr 22, 2020 19:42:48 GMT 1, Why would anyone who does not have corona virus want to be tested? It's a waste of time and money. Er... How does โanyone who does not have coronavirusโ know that they havenโt got it unless theyโve been tested? Testing tells someone if theyโve got it, and if so, prevent themselves from spreading it to others. Why get tested if you feel good and have no symptons?
Surely better to use resources on testing people who have symptons even if mild?

If people wear masks and wash hands etc that should be enough.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Apr 22, 2020 19:50:01 GMT 1, The general public should be open that the virus may be like HIV and no vaccine may be available and only drugs to limit ,suppress the virus may be available . This will kick start healthy lifestyles if not your dead ๐ท Has there been any data on people's smoking habits in the past month? Would expect vitamin sales have gone up considerably and when/if there's a link between vitamin D deficiency and outcomes established expect sales to rocket.

Agreed, given limited testing.
But, if there were enough tests everyone would be tested every day. Catch everyone who is unsymptomatic and pre symptomatic.
It's not a coincidence that the counties that have faired best during this episode have been the ones with the best testing.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by moron on Apr 22, 2020 20:02:49 GMT 1, From The Guardian again.
"The smoking hypothesis was backed by a paper, published last month, that found smokers made up about 12% of those with less severe symptoms, but 26% of those who ended up in intensive care or died."
www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/26/men-are-much-more-likely-to-die-from-coronavirus-but-why
"evidence has highlighted the negative impact of tobacco use on lung health and its causal association with a plethora of respiratory diseases5. Smoking is also detrimental to the immune system and its responsiveness to infections, making smokers more vulnerable to infectious diseases6. Previous studies have shown that smokers are twice more likely than non-smokers to contract influenza and have more severe symptoms, while smokers were also noted to have higher mortality in the previous MERS-CoV outbreak" www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7083240/

From their published data we can calculate that the smokers were 1.4 times more likely (RR=1.4, 95% CI: 0.98โ2.00) to have severe symptoms of COVID-19 and approximately 2.4 times more likely to be admitted to an ICU, need mechanical ventilation or die compared to non-smokers

That why the WHO suggests a person should have 3 concurrent tests to prove a solid negative.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Apr 22, 2020 21:09:58 GMT 1, Government slowly releasing vital truths , you just have to look closer. The present situation is not looking too good . Tests are not 100% accurate , no ppe advised for the public , medical staff ppe shortages which will eventually have other consequences The U.K. has not even got enough level 4 laboratoryโs to fully investigate this virus as set out in an internal government report. Vaccine not guaranteed to work and most likely isolations until a drug is developed to limit and suppress the virus All these conspiracy theories around the years 2000 were 20 years off!๐ฌ The world has been truly Been caught out and all our taxes have not been spent on priorities , our health care .

This is why the virus is probably here to stay
With the source being told to the global nation that it has spread from passing through two species
If now it is passing through many different species more unknown mutations will occur that could jump to humans in which Time the vaccine developed now would be useless.
The virus would need to be eradicated through all species which if it has started to spread through animals would be impossible to track
With no specific testing programmes for animals this could spread untold times ,

Ha ha ha ah you do make me smile Cheers moron

Looking through some other sources of back reports on new medicines and vaccines trials when they had 5 years or more of research And development and still went terribly wrong , there is so much potential for a new vaccine or drugs produced to go wrong when short cuts taken to produce in under two years when the majority of scientific staff state the case of developing to end product is 5-10 years , trials would be very limited and long term effects will not be observed .
