Hurrah for BREXIT they said!🎉🇬🇧🤑🍾 This is unbelievable Nearly all other countries have provided free masks to their citizens I am sure the inheritance taxes collected so far is enough to provide free masks to all of the public

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by wrigs on May 11, 2020 17:08:12 GMT 1, I think it’s a little harsh to be calling anyone out on a bike dumb. The advice from Boris was if you have to go to work cycle where possible, they are just heeding the advice given.
As great as it is to suggest that everyone can just stay in indefinitely some of those ‘idiots’ we mock may well be heading to front line jobs to assist those who need it and help put food on their families tables. Not everyone will have the luxury of a job that can be done from home and a huge garden.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on May 11, 2020 21:03:40 GMT 1, From reading the pandemic flu policy which was hastily used as the Framework to rework a policy to work with the current pandemic Medic And scientific professionals assumed the virus would not be so complex and states in the government scientific documents that a new emerging virus may take up to 8 months to develop a new vaccine to treat and tackle a new virus , this was later discussed in pm questions hour that a vaccine would be 1 year to 18 months to develop Then we had in the background scientific professionals stating that usually development of any new vaccine is 5-10 years to the end product and 18 months is usually the time spent trialling a vaccine . Now we are told that on a worse case scenario that a vaccine or any delaying drugs may not be attainable . With all the restrictions previously told On how dangerous the pandemic is And isolations is the best way to avoid rising deaths, that face masks were not needed and provided little Benefit , the way deaths are recorded and attributed to covid 19 to present artificially lower death rates from covid 19 , guidance now given on the use of masks ,to be then told it is ok to go to work to stay longer outdoors when now there are now known different strains of the virus around the U.K. it is not instilling trust in the governmentS handling of the pandemic and How they are seeking the public’s best Health interests . The economy needs to recover and restart hence actions now taken by the guidance to come yet there is nothing set to tackle and treat the virus , tests are still incomplete and not 100% viable , ppe still not at required levels The public have already misread the Governments guidance and flocked to use public transport , even when cycling in London congested cycle lanes at traffic stops , social distancing non existent , infections will trigger the inevitable second wave of infections in two months from the lifting of restrictions now . Every country is recording data differently and there are some media restrictions on reporting of actual practices , events taking place in each country so it is useless to compare to any country . But when it suits the government presents charts to compare to each country but then advises to ignore certain figures and not comparable as data is recorded differently If the graph line looks too high? Mentioned in pms questions earlier that children have a low rate of developing covid 19 , this was from data Earlier in the pandemic when the strains were different , now there is emerging research of associated illnesses only effecting children with research yet to conclude actual results and present facts ,also stated children although may not develop the virus fully are still carriers and potentially super spreaders in schools to then potentially pass on to their adult family members or teachers. Suppose just have to wait and see in a few months time how things will turn out

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on May 11, 2020 21:14:02 GMT 1, The message seems to be that construction workers should go back to work, on foot, to make money for people who don’t care if they live or die. Someone raised a good about the fact they're encouraging Builders/Car Manufacturers to go back to work but they're building items that currently have no market to sell them. Estate agents are closed, as are car dealerships. these organisations employ a large workforce which will take a large responsibility of wages away once they restart work from the government which are responsible for at present also not sure or aware the government can regain Business taxes And all other taxes . Instead of geared around health this pandemic seems it was guided by finance from the beginning

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Lunch Special on May 12, 2020 5:09:52 GMT 1, I have the answer! 🖐 The market value of non-blue chip artists will fall and blue chips will continue to rise. Wait, did I Already say that months ago? Ahh, damnnn, I did! 🤷🏼♂️ But, real issue is why did China close the wuhan plant down end of October and in November the first c-19 cases show up with no relation to the wet market? Why did the WHO hold back? I’m sure kidnapping the head of Interpol just a couple months prior had NOTHING to do with their complacency. Gotta love the Kool Aide these days... Drink up beeotches! ✌🏻
Where you get this info from Mrs Banksy? Lmaoooo what a croc of bull. You should change your name to peon or Mrs obviously dumb. Oh yea listen up I predict that lesser known or new and emerging artists will not do as well as well established big name highly sought after artists during the pandemic. Great observation maybe you should predict July will be hotter than September. Lmaoooo And that’s the dumb ish you taking about the Interpol captain in relation to corona virus? He was held and detained in 2018?? You interested in buying a piece of the Brooklyn bridge? Cause it seems like you believe everything on the internet nowadays. Oh yea have you heard Banksy is the dude from some band too? And for the broken record of your life you mad soft soft like panda doo doo. I miss the old members. Where’s wiz and blazedoutbee at?

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Wearology on May 12, 2020 14:05:03 GMT 1, I am certainly not here to defend Trump, but if you watch his news conferences, this is something he says all the time to reporters of all different ethnicities. I agree, I've heard him behave like this before, it still amazes me every time though, this is a grown up man leading one of the most powerful countries on the planet, my 6 year old has better social etiquette.

I’m not sure he’s fully all there if I’m honest. It’s a scary concept having him in charge of the one of the largest militaries on the face of the planet.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Deleted on May 12, 2020 18:42:08 GMT 1, So the government has abandoned presenting global death comparison charts at daily briefings.
Can't think why.
I know, I know
I'm not saying though.
My Mother is in a care home
they have 70 residents, today we had a phone call to say 13 have Corona and my Mother has a temperature, she was tested last Monday but no results yet
Staff wise, 3 have gone down with the Virus
I gave them 500 masks 6 weeks ago when they couldnt get any
Bless the staff having to deal with all of this on long shifts, low pay, just lovely people that then try and sanitise themselves before they go home to their family
Horrible situation for them
better people than I'll ever be

Regardless of the pandemic the staff work an extremely mentally challenging job with little praise Working on minimum wages And only now highlighted to the general public that do not have family members there . They do a great job More so with many Being the residents last contacts of comfort in the final moments 😇🙏

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by H.R. on May 13, 2020 5:21:25 GMT 1, But, real issue is why did China close the wuhan plant down end of October and in November the first c-19 cases show up with no relation to the wet market? Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on May 13, 2020 12:54:09 GMT 1, Dianna Abbott I used to see regularly on the tube system.
It is about trust in the government actions now , which are coming to light are inadequate and continues to fail to deliver promises of actions stated which is now causing some of the general public to lose some faith and trust in the governments handling of the pandemic and advice given and will hinder some to return back to work
Others have to work regardless of the dangers present and may put others at risk and the groups struggling financially may hide symptoms and continue to work until unbearable symptoms prevent them from working , ideally in a perfect world tests for workers would every two weeks which obviously is implausible
With the virus asymptomatic in some and up to 2 weeks to show symptoms another outbreak will come at some point with in any place of work
The pictures displayed in the media of the buses and tubes all it takes is one person to infect others to cause 1000s of infections in a week ,presently no track and tracing or even 100% accurate testing kits available yet , the number of kits to check all medical staff is still insufficient
The government should of at least have sufficient accurate testing kits in place before any relaxations of isolations to quickly track and Trace and contain an outbreak if one were to occur .
Example of re emergence of the virus in China and South Korea which with testing can be managed to prevent a greater outbreak.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by searchandrescue on May 13, 2020 17:20:27 GMT 1, A cynic would suggest that the government is creating ambiguity to make it easier for employers to force people back to work. Which is why I’m suggesting it. The message seems to be that construction workers should go back to work, on foot, to make money for people who don’t care if they live or die. that's exactly what is happening

Either tests are producing figures much higher than the government want which will cause fear in the public returning to work or the testing kits are unreliable which all available kits around the world have been shown to be 40-80% reliable so the results are unsafe , either way releasing the public from isolations without secure accurate testing kits ,having a track and trace system in place and displaying factual data to the public is asking for chaos to occur . Still no commitment to all care home testing ? The workers at these homes will be the biggest risk of infections to the general public , residents are contained but staff are free to mingle in the community with many using public transport to get to work which is shown to have non existent isolation distancing , one infected care home staff member on a shopping trip in a supermarket could infect untold members of the public ?testing needs to be a priority

Then they did and they were appalling. Next a huge swath of test results carried out by non-NHS providers have gone missing. Just a disgrace. Furthermore I’ve heard suggestions of an insurance / indemnity issue around GP’s / coroners putting Covid on death certificates. Don’t know enough about it to fully understand or verify. One minute we are being favourably compared to other countries next we’re not. It’s all just a f**king mess! S. Korea and UAE / Qatar? Seem to be able to do an accurate test and give results in 3 hrs, why can’t we do that for care workers NHS staff? This has been handled in a shambolic fashion. Lockdown could have begun 2-3 weeks earlier. We could have been coming out of it now. We cannot simply stay in for 2-3 years till a vaccine is developed. No one expects us to, just get the basics right, tracking, testing, treatment. In the mean time social distancing, masks, PPE etc should have been resolved months ago, not being applied to public transport for example as an afterthought.

The workers at these homes will be the biggest risk of infections to the general public , residents are contained but staff are free to mingle in the community with many using public transport to get to work which is shown to have non existent isolation distancing , one infected care home staff member on a shopping trip in a supermarket could infect untold members of the public ?testing needs to be a priority Figures initially didn’t include deaths in care homes.
