Banksy™ Thrower Prints Set, Gross Domestic Product™, by iamzero on Aug 30, 2020 7:24:44 GMT 1, Between the two met and lee3 have it covered And in my opinion are highly respected members and collectors. You should frame it how it want to see it every day but you should be aware of the implications of that and how it may affect things later on. The Clarity99 is a good glass and couple that with a cotton rag mount is preserving that art to a really high standard I’d be happy with. TruVue Con Conservation Clear is my standard glad but have just started to use The Larson Juhl stuff. Half a millimetre thinner which feels weird but I like it. TruVue make a Museum glass which I’d ideally use but it’s 4x the price and the cost of my work doesn’t justify it... if I owned this piece I’d think I’d be stretching that cost in a heartbeat.

Banksy™ Thrower Prints Set, Gross Domestic Product™, by Viking Surfer on Aug 30, 2020 7:58:25 GMT 1, Dont have a good camera. The different colours doesnt come through on the picture. Framer has a good reputation and works for museums and was framed with the best materials. I like it very much as it is. You being happy with it is the most important thing. Agreed.
Posting something on a public forum you'd expect feedback though, IMO the framing on this triptych has missed the mark.
As you said though coach, as long as OP is happy, that's all that matters.
I'm looking forward to seeing some more framed versions of this.

Banksy™ Thrower Prints Set, Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Aug 30, 2020 8:31:33 GMT 1, As a counter point regarding many of the cautious warnings the past few pages, enjoy it the way you want. You'll easily be able to sell it in the years ahead if needs must for 90% of whatever recent auction prices achieve. No need to be greedy and no need to over worry as life is too short. With an edition of just 300 and the proverbial line around the corner, frame it to the owners satisfaction and enjoy. If you choose to frame to archival with a matte, then the next owner whether 2 or 50 years from now, is going to have to frame with a matte too. I like the 12345 frame job previous pages and appreciate them sharing. If in their shoes, I would look to frame with an oval a la walled off as well. That signed Girl With Balloon coming next month at sotheby's has a touch of matte burn and I don't think that seller will be harmed one bit. Couldn't agree more with this. 12345 paid £750 for a fantastic piece of art. Even if you stuck it in an Ikea clip frame and hung it in a greenhouse, it's always going to be worth many many times what you paid. If you use a reputable framer, follow the GDP advice and don't stick the prints in direct sunlight, you'll probably be fine.
Also worth remembering that a fair few people on this forum don't actually believe in displaying their art. The 'stored flat in sleeve since purchase' crowd, who prefer to keep things hidden away. Some advice on framing here is cautious to an obsessive degree. Worrying about what damage might be wrought by 1% of normal UV light levels over decades is a concern for museum conservators, not normal people.
Frame it respectfully. Enjoy it.

Of course. To varying degrees. And each to their own. But someone who has framed their art to enjoy, instead of treating it like a priceless relic to be painstakingly preserved for eventual sale, isn’t doing it wrong.
Some are talking to this person like they’re an idiot who’s ruined their print. I suspect it comes from jealousy. People giving "feedback" on how someone frames their work is only useful if you can do something with that feedback. If you're just telling someone it looks bad, that's just bitching.

I really like it like without the oval part. Frame seems too simple for a print like that but it does allow for all the details of the entire print to show better.

Banksy™ Thrower Prints Set, Gross Domestic Product™, by jnschicago on Sept 5, 2020 3:15:35 GMT 1, Is it possible to create a "free" version of this (i.e. 3 prints in 3 separate frames) using the hi-res download at gdp.com? Or, does that file essentially give you a "poster" with all 3 images inside "mock" frames on one sheet?

Banksy™ Thrower Prints Set, Gross Domestic Product™, by saint on Sept 5, 2020 7:55:00 GMT 1, I printed this at work for the studio... Great execution on the free high-res file. Banksy really knows how to look after his fans like no other artist. Everyone can have a legit Banksy-authorised(print your own) FT for free.
I have it as the screensaver on my laptop, so I spend most my day staring blankly at it trying to work.

I saw too much movies where 911 is used 😂, maybe I should go to romantic comedy! Don’t worry, even that Amnasia and I can sometimes disagree... it’s just in art opinion. And what is art but different points of views?

Not following the rules misses the point in a Banksy piece? A debate could be opened...

I'd have to disagree. The instructions are not detailed enough for owners to frame them exactly how it was displayed.

The type of ornate isn't specified. And details within the oval part arent either. As you can see by the previous framed example it is quite difficult to frame it the exact same way it was displayed. And "particular ideas about how its best displayed could also refer to the way it is supposed to be hung in the wall.
