'prints available' counters, by rob123rob on Jun 28, 2007 23:46:21 GMT 1, Does anyone else agree that POW are probably not selling out as quickly with their newer releases because they are telling everyone how many prints are left? As soon as I saw the Blu/Eric the dog prints come up, my first instinct was to grab my credit card and try to beat the rush. But then I saw that there were still over 150 left of each, and I sat and waited a litle bit, and those numbers didn't change much, and I knew there was no hurry. If they just released the prints and didn't tell everyone how many were left, people would probably snatch em up a lot faster, afraid that they will disappear and be sold out without notice. Maybe it's good for all of us that we know how many are left, but for some pieces, it just makes it all look even sadder. I mean, after how many weeks now, and one of Eric the dog prints has sold less than 50. Sad, it is.

'prints available' counters, by brainthedog on Jun 29, 2007 2:35:30 GMT 1, I'd have to say it's a simple matter of supply and demand. There's still some great stuff out there but, I think P.O.W. is caught up in the "Banksy Craze" going on and throwing up whatever they can get their hands on and charge prices they wouldn't charge a year ago. There are plenty of people with money out there who are speculating and getting in on this scene that most of us have been a part of for years. I think the fact that P.o.w. prints aren't selling as fast is because someone overthere over-estimated demand and put off quite a few true fans by charging crazy prices. i got the blus only because i love his work and wanted to get something for my hallway wall
