I'm befuddled as to why they're still charging 25% fees on it. Surely if they were to waive them it'd encourage a higher hammer price.
 I think this is the first one to auction. Very nice profit if sells for estimate. profits going to NHS.

I assumed it was the BP that was going to the NHS.

Some on this forum conflate the idea of an auction price determining the true value of art. It is simply the price one person was prepared to pay, while a room full of other people/everyone joining online felt that the hammer price was too much.
If it goes for more, I wouldn't expect that price to be repeatable ad infinitum in private forum sales...

To be fair in person it really doesn’t not look as saturated as in the photos. It’s looks fantastic really. Much closer to the originally posted image. It’s a bit deceiving for some reason in the photos posted 🤷🏻♂️
