Ron Galella passed away today - the godfather of paparazzi. I have a couple of his books and really love the guy. Check him out. Will post some of his stuff once back at home in a few days.

Recommended Art Books, by nixon451 on May 4, 2022 11:56:56 GMT 1, I gave the advise to a member on here, she did not know - she bought it at Abe books and guess what : for 12 $ maybe 16 she obtained a signed one by Bast ( at a exhibition he signed some many years ago ) ?! Got the nerves. Got nothing. Paid mine few $ too but unsigned. Yes it’s a legendary book ! The top in art ! Congrats ! Banksy made the legend too.
He used to sell those on his website, and all those were signed. The early ones included a small original.

Took me a while to find THE book about Basquiat which really interests me - found it now:
JMB - King Pleasure
Coinciding with his exhibition in NY, curated by his family and exclusively showing pieces from his his estate ( drawings, painting but also sharing records he listened to, films he watched, things he collected etc ) and lots of details about the brother / son and person behind the paintings.
Very interesting, well made book!
Larry Gagosian bought the shot Marilyn but not sure if for his collection or a client.
