Displaying Peckham Rock, by troika49 on Apr 19, 2020 13:41:56 GMT 1, I saw a few members put 5 x rocks together and had other ideas.
Has anyone successfully displayed a single rock with a nice 3D effect?
How did you achieve it?
Did you use fibreglass rock or uses a piece of wood cut to the same shape?

I found a translucent postcard display works perfectly. They are only cheap on amazon.

Displaying Peckham Rock, by d.r. perseus on Apr 19, 2020 22:34:19 GMT 1, I sacrificed one to the gods as I have a few. Used small squares of cardboard and hot glue to elevate the piece....though there are ways to instead use a mount if donโt want to damage the card. I was just too lazy to look for a mount and couldnโt find a solution I liked online.
The backing was some crap wooden sign that said some cutesy thing, I sprayed on drywall then spray painted it. The info I printed myself and placed in tea to age some, gluing it with super glue between two pieces of sample UV plexi. Also elevated with cardboard

Displaying Peckham Rock, by troika49 on Apr 20, 2020 5:51:26 GMT 1, Was the rock too thick?
Are there any worries that it doesn't have UV protection?
Solution is great but love to hang it.

It is slightly too thick, the glass will slide if youโre handling it but just sitting on a shelf itโll be fine.
No worries for me about the UV.
Obviously, this isnโt the way to go if youโre looking to hang but Iโve seen some really great solutions posted on here for that. Find the OG thread and look back, Iโm sure there are pics of peoplesโ frame jobs.
