I actually thought of the same idea but decided against it as i thought i had seen it elsewhere, so came up with something else, it's one of those simple ideas i think could be genuine by both artists.
I prefer the "Staying apart, always together" poster over Pejac's version to be honest, im a Pejac fan too.

Joke aside, imo there is a subtle big difference: the 2 characters in the pejac skatch go on opposite directions.
This leaves me with a bittersweet feeling which I find quite of a distinctive characteristic of many (aka all) Pejac's works and also set apart this work from a concept that artistically has been seen already.

Even if they are going in opposite direction, bringing a different narrative, it's right to say that the shadows can easily be compared.
In Pejac's defense, if he needs any, playing on shadows is as old as humanity.

I totally agree the images aren't the same. But the technique used to explore a point of view is. In pejac's, it's about social distancing. In mine, it was about a relationship that can only exist in secret.
But let's be real, some of Pejac's work is expected, and cliche. The map going down the drain for one.

But guys, let's also think about all the repetition of Marilyn, Audrey, Soups, venus, Jesus, sunflowers and apple that are out there, is full of famous artists and masters that make their names on them. All on cliches yet all uniques

And by the way โGood artists copy, great artists stealโ - even Banksy knows that and not even his ideas were all genuine. Many, many artists are influenced by others.
