Live Stream Paint Jam, by BSMT Space on May 5, 2020 22:42:57 GMT 1, BSMT SPACE, Saturday May 9th 5-9pm Streaming page: www.bsmt.co.uk/bsmtv
Get ready for a knockout 4 hour set featuring Hackney’s royalty Dscreet, Malarko, Mighty Mo, Rowdy and Sweet Toof streamed live to you from five secret locations across the globe, with a live DJ guaranteed to blow the roof off your lounge and the dust off your laptop.
As the gallery remains closed to keep the public safe and help the NHS, the future of our space has never been as uncertain. With united support we can keep bringing you the shows you love showcasing the best of UK-based and global talent. We're fighting to make sure the gallery survives this and will still be around for years to come.
The live-stream will take place Saturday May 9th from 5-9pm, where you can watch for free. Each artist will paint ‘live' in succession:
Line-up: Dscreet 5:05 Rowdy 5:50 Sweet Toof 6:40 Mighty Monkey 7:25 Malarko 8:10
There will be a donations page and all we ask is that you buy a virtual ticket for whatever price you want and enjoy your night! There will also be event merch and available artwork by all the artists on the night.
By way of saying thank you, the gallery will be holding a commission-free show for the artists involved when we can open our doors again, and we cannot wait for the day we see you all back at one of our opening nights.
Date: Saturday May 9th 5-9pm Streaming page: www.bsmt.co.uk/bsmtv

Live Stream Paint Jam, by stillborncrisps on May 10, 2020 0:24:37 GMT 1, Really enjoyed it too. Cool tunes. Fun to see each artists' methods and how long they spent on each bit. Like, I though MightMo drew his monkeys in seconds like a throwie. I guess he has different approaches for street vs canvas.
Malarky's was most exciting to watch as he had someone moving the camera in and out following what he was doing. Kinda felt you were there in that cramped unlit stinky garage with them.

Live Stream Paint Jam, by minus on May 10, 2020 15:26:06 GMT 1, Yes. This was epic. Really impressed with what they pulled off. It came across seamlessly on my end. I can't even imagine the stress and headaches that they had to deal with. It didn't even occur to me until they mentioned it at the end that they may have had trouble just procuring the paint during this time.
The music was phenomenal. I was blown away with the quality of the vibe Deboa created.
I agree. It was very cool and very special to get an almost insider look behind these very secretive artists. I too was surprised at how much time and care Mighty Mo puts into his pieces but yes, it may have been because it was a canvas and it was being auctioned off. Dscreet and Rowdy really seemed to take their time as well compared to what I had previously envisioned in my head.
I enjoyed watching Sweet Toof the most. His location and execution and what he had decided to complete live was perfect. You really got a sense of his process. I had to pinch myself many times that I was actually watching him paint. Live. I agree though, with Malarky's, it actually felt as if you were cramped in there. His was almost more of a performance piece then a live paint. He was really putting on a show for us. Which was cool.
It also made me giggle to see how each one presented themselves to remain anonymous. For the most part it was as expected. Some seemed to care less than others though. Ha ha ha... Those flowing locks on Mighty Mo! Wow!
I'm super excited to see the zine when I get the link and the future show at BSMT that these artists will put on. Super event.
