Julian Opie stuff is really growing on me after seeing it first hand at Alan Christies about 3 years ago.
Not something I want to put 4k into at this moment but nevertheless a lovely thing and I bet it's much more impressive in the flesh.

Pez, I never go to RCA Secret, but I always play online, and Opie always manages to fool. I've not guessed one once. Good luck though, you've definitely got the gift.

I'm going to stick this baby on eBay this weekend with a low BIN and see if anyone bites. The weird thing is that we're all so hung up on urban artists on this forum that no-one has noticed how Opie works have gone up five fold in the last couple of years, along with many other artists of course. We live in a little bubble of indifference here.

Craigf, you're quite right. It's simple and cool, and close up you can really appreciate the glossy cleanliness of its lines. It makes for a screen print with lots of depth and that makes absolute sense to its medium. It's not a reproduction, but a work of art in its own right in a way that only Opie can achieve.

Anyway, I'll shut up now. This thing is leaning against my wall and in danger of leaving a permanent trench in my carpet , so someone buy / swap it

Afroken you really should try and make it down for this year's show. It is well worth the effort and it would be great to see you there.

I'll grant you that the opies last year were impossible to spot. But trust me the ones in previous years have been a lot easier
