Got my order today and they don't look hand painted but still very nice. The SCAI invite is great as are the Reed & Delphine invites.

The colours ARE hand painted (by students apparently), with black screen print over, and there were around 2000 made.
Hope that clears it up a bit.

Artists do usually trouble themselves to sign them though (again, not in all cases). These are not in the style of Julian Opie, the design is by Julian Opie with a hand painted background. I'm sure it would have been far easier to have printed them all, I think it's quite a nice touch to add hand finishing.

My background looks slightly different from those pictured above as well, so they either had a lot of different screens for the backgrounds or they are handpainted. You can also see brush strokes. Also worth mentioning that they are on rather thick cardboard. Did anyone frame these already? I thought about one frame for both floatmounted side by side.
