We are pleased to inform you that in September 2020 the exhibition Shepard Fairey. 3 decades of dissent will be held at the Gallery of Modern Art (GAM) in Rome: the show presents thirty years of career of Shepard Fairey, aka Obey, one of the most renowned artist of the Urban Art movement worldwide.
The exhibition originates as an art research collaboration between Wunderkammern and GAM. For this occasion, GAM will also present the exhibition Rinascita by internationally recognised artist duo StenLex, pioneers of stencil-poster technique.
The corpus of 30 artworks by Obey included in the exhibition will retrace the most representative stages of the artist's work and will be accompanied by some extraordinary pieces belonging to the GAM collection, leading to establishing a dialogue between modern and contemporary and to amplifying the reflection on some of the most important issues for the artist.

The selection is really poor compared to the last « dissent » shows and the OTI one.
A lot of bland rehashes and nothing with a great deal of work gone into it
