I now have 3 bits of post that are caught up in the United Postal Service for between 4-6 weeks. All of them are tracked and all stuck in various places, NY, Chicago and LA.
Anyone else got a similar issue. I'm guessing it's COVID related staffing issues. Any thoughts?

I had something shipped with them from LA to the U.K which took about 6 weeks, I had something else shipped with them 10 days after the first one was shipped and the 2nd one got here before the first. I think it’s a it hit and miss at the moment. At least they both arrived safely!

Yes! I’ve had several pieces shipped via USPS and they’re all averaging about 6 weeks to the UK atm.
Weirdly two of them have ended up in Japan temporarily and then found their way over, which made checking in on the tracking status pretty nerve-wracking. For what it’s worth they’ve all arrived safely & in good condition though,

At least the tracking exists, so I could see it doing nothing for ages - the delays are nuts out of US.
Had something from Japan arrive really quickly recently which concerned me about my US order, but seems things are moving although slow.

If its any help, through work we use TNT/Fedex, as well as DHL, and parcels from the US to the UK, pretty much back to normal.

It's been 'clearing customs' since 5/21. No change in status as of this morning. At this rate i won't receive it until the middle of June.

I had 2 parcels from the US shipped 10 days apart, both arrived with Parcelforce on the same day. 2 days later the 2nd one arrived, nearly 2 weeks after that the 1st one turned up...

As a buyer, it's worth me paying slightly more for shipping via FedEx or DHL to receive it quicker and with better transportation practices than USPS or their international counterparts. As a seller, I've been clear with buyers regarding the delays/complications and am encouraging them to cover the cost of shipping via FedEx or DHL.

it is worth noting that companies like DHL and UPS have their own aircraft and they are flying as usual
USPS and Royal Mail (or any main domestic postal service) jumps onto commercial aircraft like british airways, easyjet, virgin, ryanair (insert your national carrier here). None of those are flying hence your hold up.

As mentioned, we have parcels coming in from the US to the UK at work, and tend to use them, currently 2-3 days.
The tracking is pretty slick as well.
I struggled with USPS as when I had an issue, difficult to speak to anyone to get any help, same with Parcel Force when it entered the UK.

Parcelforce will just chuck it into the 20% vat plus £10 fee pile, hold it to ransom then make it like a prison escape to claim 15% back after.

If I remember correctly, Japan Post stopped all international deliveries on April 8th or 9th. Might be the reason for that delay from Osaka. Been waiting on an update myself as to when Japan Post will resume international delivery.
