You think? I think the popularity of the two artists combined with the fact that Chevrier is loved by flippers will see this positively evaporate. I could be wrong though.

Am I missing something here ?? Station 16 have decided to do a print of the mural ? So it’s not signed by either artist nor has it been approved by either artist ?? And yet people are going nuts over it

As someone who has a horrible sleep pattern (or lack thereof), I empathise fully. Now go back to bed! ;-)

I was in Austin for a conference and randomly was staying at the Line hotel on the same days this was being done. Got a chance to briefly talk to Shep. I asked what can go wrong with large murals like this. He said what screws him up most is when the owner of the wall gives him the wrong measurements of the wall and then the scaling is off. I never would have thought of that. Anyhow, the mural looks amazing in person! My record vs bots is pretty poor but good luck to all!

To my mind, this image by Sandra Chevrier and Shepard Fairey is terribly naff. Moreover, the decision to include a fictional character does indeed seem poorly thought through. The fact she's a superhero even more so. Were the artists looking to patronise women, to treat them as children?



According to Chevrier's Instagram post, the idea was apparently "to honour the 100th anniversary of the ratification [by men] of the 19th Amendment" to the United States Constitution, which took place in 1920.

So why use an ahistorical character? Query whether it was just cluelessness by the artists, or if they thought, "Ah, nobody will notice that Wonder Woman was created over two decades later, in the early 1940s."

[It would have made more sense if Chevrier and Fairey had instead waited another 20 years before using that character in 2040 — to honour the 100th anniversary of women in Quebec receiving full suffrage.]

Easier than I thought it would be.

The Wonder Woman art is swiped btw (or traced) from a Harry G. Peter drawing. 

Did they remove Apple Pay? I practiced buying on the site before release, and then i could express check-out with apply pay. However that was not an option for me with this print. Anyone know why?
