they are lovely paintings. I agree with CG with regards to pics never doing his work justice. Its almost impossible to photograph any of mine.
I'll be looking to pick up one or twwo more this year. But China Mike has been high on my list of wants for sometime. So may have to spread the love around a bit.

This morning I took the boys to the last day of the Peter Blake collection at the Museum of Everything. I've been meaning to go for ages and I found it a great mix of magic and mystery. Fun atmosphere with a band, accordion player and a special mention to the girl doing the hola hoop and splits at the same time!
Afterwards I took the boys to the zoo so tonight they were really tired from all the walking and have gone to sleep nice and early.
Since then I've finally setup the turntable I treated myself to earlier in the week and have been slowly going through some old and new records. I've heard that mp3's are on the way out and vinyl is next big thing 
Anyway the reason for the story! The turnable has gone next to the Mr Jago deck:

Thanks Curiousgeorge, and I agree with your assessment. I read that the figural/robotic elements are still lurking somewhere within Duncan's paintings, even as they have become more abstract and painterly. As a colorist, I cannot think of anyone better at the moment.
The painting is called "Industrial Evolution" and it is from the 2009 Modart show at Thinkspace Gallery. The canvas itself is 39.5 x 39.5"(100 x 100 cm).
If I had the cash and wallspace, I'd have bought everything from that Modart show...plus that Stolenspace "Hades Shot" painting.
