When viewed side-by-side, the distinct styles of these two artists really balance each other out, and even "play off of" one another. I appreciate Jose Parla's work because of that artist's attention to detail, his high standards of craftmanship, as well as his unique artistic approach/vision. When looking at Parlas, I often find myself wondering "how did he do that"? Where Jose's works are intricate and painterly, Duncan's compositions are, to my eye, complex and impressionistic. Your eyes can can wander within Duncan's compositions. In fact, I often find myself sitting down (in an almost meditative fashion) in front of my large Jago painting. In that way, Jago's paintings possess qualities not achieved by any other urban/contemporary artist (that I know of), particularly in their price range.

I should add that I am not hyping this artist. I have no intention of ever selling any of my Jago paintings. That said, I'd be happy to see more people buy and show off Duncan's work. He seems a like a good guy with loads of talent and potential.
