So as ever, your already well proven to be flawed opinions, are of little value. You and the rest of us, will see how he comes out the other side of this, i dont know, and happily admit that. Your reputation (as a not really a gallery) is again on the line. But you are so sure of this, like you were about the posters, which you were 100% wrong about eh. You slated stik alongside noir, then start selling his work in your "not really a gallery" like the pure money driven hypocrite you are. I would assume you have leached the scene, and done nothing for artists or any other part of this arty world. Your full of your own self importance. Lol deep down i know what? wow, you know what im thinking now? deep down and in general, i know your full of shit. Keep attacking me mate itโs fine, youโre just further debasing yourself. You know me and the other people calling this out have been fully vindicated and you just look silly by continue making personal attacks on me. If you were some way involved in profiting on all of this then you should take a long hard look at yourself, if not have some humility and just accept what is evident. Yes Mr Trump, but sadly, you are not living in the real world.
Just because you say it is true, this does not actually make it true.
But carry on with your conjecture, and carry on calling it "FACT". Everything you type is guesswork, nothing more, stop claiming you know anything, you clearly dont. As has been proven before.
What is evident, is you make things up to try and prove yourself, what is also pretty obvious to anyone, is that you are guessing, again.

Thierry Noir ๐จ๐ต Berlin Wall โข French Street Arist , by High Contrast on Aug 18, 2023 17:18:12 GMT 1, Pete the games up mate. You can offend me all you like but the problem is people would have lost real money off the back of your conduct. Anyone buying in off the back of yours and your mates hype in the end may be lucky to recoup 10-20% of their investment, some may be professional and wealthy but others may just be hard working people looking for a way to improve their lot in life, some would have got themselves in debt to buy his work. Don't you think theres something wrong with that? This is the reason I called this bullshit, yes there's always a little bit of fluff with most artists markets but the TN situation was such a blatant piss take. And yes the market has corrected for many artists but I mean not by 60-80% in such a short space of time because the whole situation was plainly contrived. His market won't be coming back any time soon, people have been too badly burned by this and he just doesn't have the pedigree or collector base to rise again, you can deny it all you like but deep down you know I'm right. The evidence is there for all to see in the auction results and the way you and other people hyping Noir have behaved to know this has all been a really greedy and grubby little performance. Thierry Noir ๐จ๐ต Berlin Wall โข French Street Arist , by Pete the Post on Aug 18, 2023 17:35:38 GMT 1, Anyone following the scene to any level, knows that the market is not treating anyone well. Funny that some would love to focus ALL that market energy on one artist though. Also, picking out a massive outlier to use as your base point for evidence, shows you have no clue what you are talking about when it cones to data analysis. What a shock that is lol. Lets keep the fat lad in the right though shall we (might have to start calling tory boy Donald or 45 or something from now on lol), he needs to get some positive energy from something i guess. The mars bar diet wont provide much after all, i know, i tried it. Some things are harder to turn around than others. Buy when others sell, sell when others buy. Its as old as the hills, and as trustable as your granny. Feel free to ignore it, thats WHY its so good to buy the dips. The biggest problem I have with Henner's and Pete is the baseless hype. It is literally propaganda and marketing. We do not need to over sell the value of an artist especially in a forum like this. Comparing Noir to Warhol, Basquiat, Hirst, Picasso, and so many others is pointless. The former have history on their side and time. Noir will get there organically if her deserves it (which I sincerely hope he does) but building hype and false hope is trying to will it to be and in art that rarely succeeds. My second issue is they shift their narrative to fit the conditions. It is like sports commentators who bash a team then when they surprise they pivot the conversation like they never said what they did. Own what you say and do not try and pivot your proclamations. If things are a given they will not "crash" there might be a minor dip but not a crash. I think we would be hard pressed to find an equal drop in all the artists you and Henner's were comparing Noir too. There is a fine line between being a fan and positive on someone vs overhype and marketing. And if you are marketing or part of his team be transparent about it. What I have seen from both you and Henners are attacks on people and out right avoidance on you true role in the marketplace. Having that transparency would Gove the readers much more clarity if it is marketing vs real market conditions. And to me would feel a lot more ethical. This is just my opinion but where I feel Noir has suffered from both of your hype, and in many cases attacks on people who disagree with you or dislike Thierry. Rather than respond with fact and real analysis it is suggestion / diversion / deception / blurry answers / pivots. Me personally I am a huge fan. He has been very good to me AND I hope he hits the next level. But I bought him because I like him not because I hope to make money. I always look at "living artists" as non-investments. The true value of art happens over generations and definitely changes over time as tastes change... only a handful of works will be worth tens and hundreds of millions over centuries. I havnt shifted my narrative at all. Ive been commentating on what actually happened. The market has changed though.
Marketing is a major part of the art world, its how those that rise, rise. Many a great artist with no career.
Comparisons to the great artists you mention have related to the way they were viewed in their early career, nothing more as far as i remember. Thats a fair comparison. But seems a little disingenuous considering the way its being pitched here.
As for changing narratives, ive been accused of being, Noir, Henners, an employee, a shill, and god knows what else was needed to fit the attack. Today, im both a con man who dupped a bunch of people, and a bagholder who who got screwed.
In truth, im a fan, thats known him and painted with him, helped set up his shows over the last 10 years. But hey, i can only say it so many times, there are threads here that prove it, shows, giveaways, previews and god knows what. But there are also plenty of people that know this. And a bunch of others, that would rather talk shit than find that out. Funny thing about evidence, its either their or it isnt, shame more people cant work that out. I also have used evidence to back up almost all of my points, claiming i dont is low scrapping. Especially since all i did was post auctions that existed, and the results of said auctions.
Anyhow, the stupidity this has become, is clear to anyone with a brain, the rest of you can carry on talking utter baseless shite for shits n giggles.

The facts are the auction results and your endless supply of comments on this thread. Iโll leave it to others to separate the conjecture from the fact, the results will keep coming and with each one it just becomes more and more evident that the spirit of what Iโve said is spot on. Yeah cool, thats not really evidence, and your not really reliable are you.
Your ignoring the general market to try and "prove" your right about this. But thats the worse kind of bias showing through, making you totally worthless as a source of information.
would you rather be Boris the shit talker, or Mr Trump? You are tied well with their grips on reality, only fair to see who you would rather be.

Specialistโs Pick: Ten Contemporary Artists to Watch BY NICHOLAS STEPHENS | SEP 5, 2023
Todayโs artists at their most exciting. Florence Ho, Sothebyโs Head of Day and Online Sales, Asia, picks ten from the latest Contemporary Discoveries.
September is the time for Contemporary Discoveries, a seasonal online auction gathering a roster of the most highly sought-after, established artists alongside visionary and emerging talent. Below, we spotlight ten trailblazing artists we think you should know.
THIERRY NOIR, I AM AN OPTIMISTIC PERSON; I NEVER TAKE AN UMBRELLA WHEN I GO OUT, 2020
Thierry Noir, who exudes the edgy, dropout drama of his adopted city of Berlin where he has lived since the 1980s, is no stranger to the art world. In 1984, he became the first artist to paint the Berlin Wall, aiming โto transform it, to make it ridiculous, and ultimately to help destroy it.โ Nearly four decades later, Noirโs boldly delineated figures in signature cartoonish style remain highly sought-after. A symbol of Berlin in his own right, the French artist collaborated with Wim Wenders on Wings of Desire (1987), and his gloriously spraypainted Trabants adorn U2โs Achtung Baby 1991 album cover. He was also the subject of a solo show at Sothebyโs in London in 2022. His brightly upbeat I Am an Optimistic Person, I Never Take an Umbrella When I Go Out (2020) is another highlight of this season.

Thierry Noir ๐จ๐ต Berlin Wall โข French Street Arist , by Lord Elrond on Sept 18, 2023 14:50:59 GMT 1, This looks interesting.
Thierry Noir: Techno 28 Septemberโ2 October Christie's London
This autumn Christieโs presents Thierry Noir: Techno, an immersive music-inspired installation by the iconic Berlin artist Thierry Noir, organised in collaboration with fabric โ Londonโs legendary nightclub.
Thierry Noir moved from France to Berlin in the 1980s and became the first artist to paint long stretches of the Berlin Wall on which he developed his distinct visual language. Since then, the artist became inextricably linked to the Berlin underground scene. Just as music is the heartbeat of the German capital, it pulses in every aspect of Noirโs life and work. He sees art as performance, often drawing parallels with the performative characteristic of a musician or a DJ. The colours, lines, energy and rhythm in his paintings mirror the hypnotic sound of techno music.
Unveiling new paintings created exclusively for Christieโs over the past year, journey into Noirโs vividly coloured visual universe and be transported to the booming techno scene in Berlin. The public exhibition is open between 28 September and 2 October with free entry at 8 King Street in London.
Charity and Partnerships
Thierry Noir, Perfect Light Over The Dancefloor, (180cm by 180cm, 2023)
This painting from the Techno exhibition will be offered in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online 3-17 October to benefit Girls Rock London (GRL). GRL is an award-winning Hackney-based charity providing accessible music education projects for marginalised girls, women, trans, and non-binary people.
GRL programmes challenge intersectional gender inequity in the music industry and society, and are evidenced to improve musical skills and re-engagement in formal education/training/employment, whilst increasing participantsโ wellbeing and self-esteem.
Sale proceeds will enhance GRL's Youth Programmes, following increased demand from marginalised young people in need, due to the impacts of pandemic and cost of living crises.
Techno Q&A
What was the techno scene like in Berlin in the 1980s?
West Berlin had a strong community of underground artists, musicians, designers, writers. We were underground fighters all together. Then when the Berlin Wall came down in November 1989, we realised that just on the other side of the Wall, to the east, there were also lots of others like us. They weren't visible in the media, but they existed. The sudden combination of these two powerful groups created something special.
At that time the streets of East Berlin were full of abandoned or long-closed shops. All you had to do was open the door and set up your own nightclub, with no authorisation to open and no alcohol licence because the system of the GDR (German Democratic Republic) had just collapsed. First it was acid house then very quickly this movement became known in Berlin as Teckno. Written with one K, two Ks or three Ks, depending on the strength of the music. These places sometimes only stayed open for 2 or 3 months, then disappeared to continue later under another name. We were always on the move.
Describe your relationship with music?
Music is my inspiration. Just like art, music can change the world. Ever since I discovered Led Zeppelin in 1971, I've been listening to my favourite songs over and over again. From 1984 onwards I was part of a music group called Sprung Aus Den Wolken. The track that I sang the vocals on in French, โPas Attendreโ, was included by Wim Wenders in the soundtrack to the 1987 film Wings of Desire. We did a lot of touring in Europe, sometimes with up to five members of the group. We had a lot of success, but each time when I went back to Berlin after two weeks on the road performing each night, I realised that I was always very tired. I decided to give up my music career in 1988 to concentrate fully on painting.
It is an honour for me to collaborate with fabric London on this project. In 2019 I painted some walls inside the club and then there is also a painting of mine hanging at fabric in the entrance. DJs are the heroes of the night. They jam with notes like I jam with colours.

This looks interesting. Thierry Noir: Techno28 Septemberโ2 OctoberChristie's London This autumn Christieโs presents Thierry Noir: Techno, an immersive music-inspired installation by the iconic Berlin artist Thierry Noir, organised in collaboration with fabric โ Londonโs legendary nightclub.
Thierry Noir, Perfect Light Over The Dancefloor, (180cm by 180cm, 2023) This painting from the Techno exhibition will be offered in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online 3-17 October to benefit Girls Rock London (GRL). Techno Q&AWhat was the techno scene like in Berlin in the 1980s? West Berlin had a strong community of underground artists, musicians, designers, writers. We were underground fighters all together. Then when the Berlin Wall came down in November 1989, we realised that just on the other side of the Wall, to the east, there were also lots of others like us. They weren't visible in the media, but they existed. The sudden combination of these two powerful groups created something special. At that time the streets of East Berlin were full of abandoned or long-closed shops. Thierry Noir ๐จ๐ต Berlin Wall โข French Street Arist , by Jonas B on Sept 26, 2023 8:40:39 GMT 1, Interesting to see Christieโs getting involved with Thierry Noir. Stik has always done very well through his association with Christieโs so definitely a step in the right direction for Thierry. A couple of cheap Noir canvases ending soon on Phillips Heatwave auction, not mine but could be a good time to pick up his work before the extra publicity heโll get from his Christieโs event.

Thierry Noir ๐จ๐ต Berlin Wall โข French Street Arist , by Shoot Again on Oct 3, 2023 10:06:09 GMT 1, https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cx0YqwvN9Q6 I popped by yesterday so will share a few pictures below. Non-selling show so really felt like deploying the same play book as they did with STIK before : hyping the artist first (with an arguably enjoyable solo show) and then flogging their future auctions with tonnes of his works. Nothing new and if it gets the artist the recognition he deserves then at least thatโs one positive I guess. Wouldnโt be the first time it happens that way and โsmooth manipulationโ has always been part of the art game. Key will be to determine how deep his market really is โฆ Anyone been along to Techno at Christieโs this week? Looks great!
