Everybody starts participating sometime!
If you want one of the pieces he's offering, but you have concerns, it wouldn't be very complicated to just ask him to list the piece (with an agreed upon buy it now) on eBay. Then you would be protected within eBay's system and you could see what other positive transactions he has made. I am welling to bet that most collectors on here have an eBay account.
Would that be a suitable solution for a less than active member, that wants to sell a piece of art?
