I have to say I am a bit disappointed in the lack of support for emerging new talents. So many posts are about the same artist again and again (Banksy, KAWS, Martinez and so on) Yes, they are big and well known but they also don't need your support.
Many young artists life would change if they got the support of a brilliant forum like this. I remember when I bought my first Oli Epp painting in 2016 and the brilliant ride it has been to follow his blossoming career.
I want to encourage all of you to try to buy art from a young artists as well as collecting more established artists.
It can be a jungle out there so therefore I will over the next month present 5 artist I think bring something special.
Please feel free to answer with other artists.

Matija is from Slovakia and is at the moment showing at Sim Smith in London. It is possible to buy Original works on canvas by Matija at around 1000 euro. I believe Matija has a bright future ahead of him.

The crude/childlike style does seem to be popular now. There are a lot of artists doing it and some very well represented. There are artists who are highly skilled in drawing and painting who choose to use this style and I am sure others who may have more limited skills.
There are also some art in a crude style that looks much easier than it is to create and is more complex that appears at first glance. I do think that some artists are taking advantage of this and are hiding a lack of skills through this style.
Some artists I really like who appear to use a crude/childlike style at first are David Shrigley, Misake Kawai, Genieve Figgis and Liam Ashley Clark to name a few.
The main thing is that their work looks great and the crudeness is intended and the other elements such as the composition and colour are done really well.

I have a big heart for art that takes me back to my childhood. Many artist do this because it is one of the most purest memories. I remember a listened to a 'Podcast' with TAL R and the interviewer asked "What do you think of when you paint"
And he answered:
"I think of the sound my friends and I made when we were playing war
Everyone had a different "Pow"
The imagination of that time is unique. I have deep respect for artist that can paint that.

But I also believe things can change.
That's why I am trying to start an conversation about new emerging artist. To maybe open people's eyes to all the great talent out there instead of just one more Banksy print.

Very well said. Strong points and I can agree with most of it. But I also believe things can change. That's why I am trying to start an conversation about new emerging artist.
