I understand the comparison, but different from Sunday B Morning. The art world would consider this an edition by the artist. Similar things have happened with other artists. The Clown guys are also clearly close friends with Banksy, so the idea that they are doing this without his blessing seems unlikely. It is what it is. I did not get a set. I am not going to try to knock them down either. If they make more outside of the 100, then that's a different story. I haven't seen any sign that they will. If that's the case that only 100 was or will be printed than thats alright but just because you say they are close friends with Banksy he defo said go ahead and print some more, not so sure. Laz was or still is close friend of B but he did released loads of stuff without his approval. And so you know I did not even bother to join the lottery cause I did not like this release, and I was not knock them down but only given my view. I dont have to like them just because of you.

It’s clear these decks are in high demand so the stockists are ensuring they go to the right people that’s all & rightly so because very little if any are hitting the secondary market..
I think you should take your complaints directly to Clown as you are fabricating a story here & I for one am not getting your motive now as it’s seems very off..

I was able to answer the competition via Note & win access to own a ‘Manifesto’ Series deck yesterday so stockists were trying to make the release as fair as possible.. Why are Clown advertising these shops as stockists, when they are already sold out before they receive them. I bet they put them up on the release date and mark sold out. Clown Skates should make sure all these stockists advertise them fair on the open market. When they print more of the ‘Manifesto’ Series decks more will become available. As for commenting on how stores are distributing them that’s for you to take up with them directly, as quite frankly I don’t want to get involved in another difference of opinion here. The Clown stockists will always have Clown stock for the community once more wood (decks) is readily available & Clown can fulfil more orders. We are in a global pandemic don’t forget & I don’t know exactly where Clown get the stock supplied for example.
Previously you stated the decks would go to stockists to get to real skaters and not collectors so they can be skated on the streets

Now stated clown presold
Typically this age demographic Would not wait an unknown time period to receive a £55 deck when other decks in stock are easily sourced in that time line
The hype around the test series people would wait on that edition as marketed as limited .
For a new business to release in a middle of a pandemic as you say With distribution levels effected by raw materials would it not be more sensible to put back the release date and have all items in stock as potentially the wood could take an unknown time period to deliver ?
What type of new business breaking into a market would have a release with partial stock on a marketed release ?
Could be 6 months until stock arrives ?

I think you are making a really bad assumption in saying ‘Typical skater aged 14-24 ?’ as we skaters are of all ages & aren’t subjective to a typical age bracket..
Commenting on printed numbers & stock levels to stockists is something I really cannot comment on as it’s quite frankly nothing to do with me & I don’t have any information other than irl1 mentioning 200 were printed of which I don’t even know myself is correct..
Clown as a brand are doing an awful lot for the community with Clown tokens & for charity’s to help younger kids on skateboards globally & I think that perhaps that is what you are missing amongst all this bad mouthing..
Clown have never stated that any decks have been ‘presold’ & you are really only taking one persons comments onboard here in relation to this as many stockists did have them sold via completions etc..
I feel that the releases have been made as fair as possible where possible & a lot of what’s going on here still is jealousy with a motive to destroy something people are unable to be a part of.. Just my views & not targeting people individually so don’t bite.. keep rollin’ 🛹💥

Here Jeff is photographed with Banksy & they are clearly great friends so why would Clown compromise that relationship by producing something like the Banksy ‘Test Press’ Series if it wasn’t authorised by the artist ??
Here is an interview that Jeff, Vikas & Banksy did with Fat Boss Magazine together back in the earlier years..

Pest Control weren’t around when Banksy agreed of course they won’t authenticate any of the Clown ‘Test Press’ Series sets because that would turn the value from £18k to double that figure & beyond....
