SE V2 is holding value well considering people thought it would be a flood of supply once the PC certs became available but I think it will flatten out
seems like POW did manage to at least find some decent homes via the "lottery" ahem ahem

Either 395k for gold is mental Doesn't include VAT (5%) or the Artist Resale Royalty (4%) by the looks of it. Hammer = £320,000 BP = £75,250 (0-225k @ 25%, 225k+ @ 20%) VAT = £16,000 ARR = £12,800 Total = £424,050Did I get that right? Oh my God that is some result

Let's keep things straight No, I still have it and would only consider trading up for other Banksys.

Christie's Art Auctions , by Fuzzyduck121 on Sept 24, 2019 16:18:07 GMT 1, I think prints have waves of interest, one sells high, others then wade in to buy it so they can have it in the collection then the interest may slow, prints go in and out of popularity perhaps for this reason
edit: perhaps also online auctions give buyers in other territories where certain images or imagery is more popular a chance to buy and this may be reflected in the values, perhaps there is a huge drive for donut imagery in china or such like?

Portion of the Hammer Price (in EUR) Royalty Rate From 0 to 50,000 4% From 50,000.01 to 200,000 3% From 200,000.01 to 350,000 1% From 350,000.01 to 500,000 0.5% Exceeding 500,000 0.25%
However, the total charge for ARR on any single lot cannot exceed Euros 12,500.

Christie's Art Auctions , by coller on Sept 24, 2019 22:52:44 GMT 1, for the record, i believe the 'hammer prices' were all about 15-20% less than the realized price listed on the site (if that matters).
i.e. the S&S 'hammered' at 30k but the final all-in price was 35k after buyer's fees, etc., which is the price listed on the christie's site now

Besides comments already made by dogstar on the droit de suite*, the VAT figure (to the extent it's relevant) has been miscalculated.
If applicable, VAT will be 20% of the buyer's premium: £15,050 (£75,250 x 0.2)
And whether it's applicable depends on the jurisdiction of the winning bidder. VAT won't be charged on goods to be exported outside the European Union, e.g. to a US- or Hong Kong-based buyer (although such a buyer may find themselves liable for payment of import duties).
[This is also a reason why VAT is never included in the lot sale results published by auction houses.]

Both of them are ridiculously undervalued. It is just a matter of time before their auction results are consistently close to six figures. Talking up your own book again Bob ?

Additionally, ARR isn't as most people think fixed at 4%...

However, the total charge for ARR on any single lot cannot exceed Euros 12,500.
Interesting (to me at least) to learn today about the 'Bought As Stock' exemption to ARR.
ARR basically covers artwork sold on the secondary market with the involvement of a dealer, gallery or auctioneer - commonly referred to as ‘art market professionals’. ARR does not apply to sales between two individuals or between an individual and a museum. However, if an artwork is sold directly to an 'art market professional' and they resell it within three years for €10,000 or less, it is exempt from ARR. This is because the sale is covered by the ‘bought as stock’ exemption, which was put in place to allow art dealers to invest in new and upcoming artists.
Seems to me that a good deal of auction houses don't apply this exemption.
