Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by lee3 on Jun 18, 2009 22:00:07 GMT 1, Solid, thanks for posting. Love both Caders, Tunafish disaster and the Klein. Obviously not terribly difficult to find work one enjoys in evening sales and if I'm surpised about anything there it's the fact that they showcased 3 Warhol's when only one of them is truly important from my vantage point. Interesting that Yves Klein's work has barely even checked back in price whereas Warhol is off a good 60% in most cases. Should be an odd summer as it seems like the super high end of both art and housing is a tough sell at the moment.

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by meatbag on Nov 3, 2009 3:52:11 GMT 1, For us poor voyeuristic art freaks it would be it would be nice to play rich for night. There's a incredible private collection of contemporary art going up Nov 11. Really nice variety. I love the two hundred dollar painting by Warhol, the torso sculpt by De Kooning, and a particularly nice minimalist painting by Jasper Johns but I think my fav is the unique neon light created by a guy I'm not familiar with at all Bruce Nauman.
check out the video...

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by mutant on Nov 5, 2009 18:09:08 GMT 1, Lot 24 (Warhol's self portrait) in the evening sale was sitting in Cathy Naso's closet for more than 40 years before it was unearthed. She was a receptionist at Warhol's studio 40 years ago. This piece was given to her as a gift. Neat little story.
