I'm new to the Banksy world, I mean, I know his work for 20 years and had some funny unofficial things but now I'm looking to start my own collection.
I've got 3 Laz Tenners, Two "Visit Palestine" from the Palestinian hotel, two "Forgive us our Trespassing", one GDP Welcome Mat.
I'm looking to get anything else, Monkey Parliament, Tesco Bomb, Che Guevara, anything really.
What are the best ones to get at a reasonable price? Also, if you have any to sell, just PM please, I'll consider every offer!

Just make sure you get as much documentation as you can and purchase from a reputable seller. What sort of documentation you need for these?
Petrol Bomb: Anarchist Book-Fair Flyer, 'No Tesco In Stokes Croft Button', 'No Tesco...' sticker (oracal backing), train ticket, etc.
I forgot to put the GDP giveaway prints in my last post (Crisis As Usual, Flower Thrower Arm, Rat).
For those, I'd say definitely buy from a reputable seller who can prove they were actually there; parking ticket, train ticket, photos, etc. The more information the better. Also, make sure the back of the print has the 'embossing' look from the inks being on newsprint.

There are too many fakes around and even the bits jp226 mentions can be faked.
Worth contacting smaller, trusted auction houses to say you're looking for one. I got mine via a private sale facilitated by an auction house. More than one seller had asked to consign their Petrol Bomb, but they couldn't put both to auction. Trusted them to confirm its authenticity and got it for a lower price than the auctioned one. You're probably still looking at over £2k for these now, though.

Coloring on fake Petrol Bombs is usually a lot darker --- at least the ones I've seen. Also the sizing itself isn't right on fakes; usually off a bit. But definitely buy from a reputable source. |
