The whole story was posted by JR on IG and, in my opinion, it was by far one of his best projects.

The view from inside the prison was completely changed after applying those pasters and I believe this is something of great benefit to the inmates.

I agree it does not work very well on a print but that, imho, is the case for most of JR works.

Still I believe he's definitely one of the best artists out there but his works are so strictly connected to the site that taken out of contest does not make them justice at all.

A great image when you know the story behind it, but doesn't work without the context.

I totally agree. I love his work and have a nice collection, but this print is an easy pass

The projects he did in this prison are truly something else. He sure seems to have his heart in the right place. I also like the fact that his prints come alive when you know/tell the backstory (though I don’t think this is a prticularly good photograph, strange composition).

His strong images (and there’s a few of them) are very rare on secondary.

His OG prices are now insanely high and all shows are sold our before opening, Original work is also very scarce on secondary.

He has a big fan base of people who keep his art in their collection.
