Autumn is in the air here in NYC. We’ve been busy working on a new series of paintings for our show in Paris with the lovely Magda Danysz Gallery. We’d been wanting to return to canvas for a bit now and explore our painting style and narratives in a new body of work as we explore ideas in surface, environment and our windows to the world.

In this new series of paintings, we are pulling back with a look at still life painting and its relationship to our environment and further yet to the devices that become a layer framing reality. Like floating images from windows on a computer, or a checker of repeated posters on a wall, this patchwork of surface becomes a vehicle for the show. Hanging the paintings free floating in the space to experience painting on painting the viewer can see the changing layers of space before them.
