mr brainwash uses the image in question alot , now the company has gained copyright can they now seek compensation from all that has used the image from the start of the case?

They already do. You can get literally anything you want with a Banksy image on. Mouse Mats, mugs, calendars, t shirts, canvas prints. This will continue to be the case. It just means Banksy can’t stop this from happening Having allowed it for 20years? Not sure what the excitement is about?

not really other wise I would hold my thoughts to my self , the reactions of others are concerning their financial interests
My pieces are bought many moons ago and if crashed not a loss as if bought at today’s prices , have lost much more on the stock markets
Banksy is a carefully managed brand and business worth millions managed by a professional organization but people like to think he’s one free spirited individual on a crusade 😂
He’s the artist just the people he employed to run the business took their eye of the ball

I think it's the idea that the the guys who have stole it off Banksy will now only allow the image to be used if people pay them a licencing fee? Or do I have that wrong?
ie medicom paid them a fee to license the image for their statues

His print market and VIP sales - his carefully orchestrated exhibits. There is a lot of work that went into all this to create this image of a man of the people. It’s capitalism at its finest. And I enjoy Banksy’s work and appreciate the charity work he does but Banksy is the art world. So Kaws gets a lot of slack for being too corporate and cashing it in. Banksy has been cashing it in for years now.
