For those thinking TIDE and other Japanese artists don't command these types of prices now and their influence on the Art market like it or not need to wake up.
There are many examples of what type of prices TIDE now commands with some quick googling.
"Angry Cat" sold on eBay in June for $900USD there have been multiple sales of TIDE's Vinyl Toy in the $1500USD range and an auction coming up in October for 'Angry Cat' is estimated in the $1000USD which I have absolutely no doubt will exceed.

Absolutely no ego here and I'm sorry if you feel I'm the direct result of educating flippers and what's wrong with the Art Market... I never knew I had so much influence on the Art Market...I might add this to my LinkedIn.

I for one wasn't doubting the 'future relevance of TIDE' I've been a fan for a while and have a couple of pieces. You were trying to flip a print at a ridiculous mark up too soon. I think that is what got peoples backs up.

The number 1 reason I come to this forum is the Art for sale threads.
If one slept and missed a certain release, while it does suck that one can't afford to buy one in the secondary market, one shouldn't take one's anger out on resellers! Sometimes that's the only way to buy a print or object that's already sold out. Some artists these days only release editions of less than 50 pieces!
And let's not forget, that some lucky bastahds were able to buy a Banksquiat for $800.00, less than 1 year ago!! Those are worth over $150,000.00 now.
By contrast, $3,000.00 for a Tide Cat print seems tame.
