Thanks for the advice - to be honest the Print and the original have been on my wall and I bought them because I loved them, they are just at that point where they are too valuable not to now. Iโll see if I get any offers, if not Iโll send it all off to SBI.

I learned this the hard way with my LY pieces. Appearantly there are several already lined up to be sold through the April 2022 auction.

Yes I am new here and yes I did put five items from my collection up because my father is going into a nursing home and it cost $10,000 a month. Heโs also dealing with cancer. And yesterday Gallery told me that the prints were placed and confirmed within 30 minutes and it was not a lottery release. These comments are kind of disappointing, especially because Iโm a new member and if you want to know the price or some thing you can always ask me. I donโt know why people have to rain down on someone who may not know precisely how it works. I only learned of the forum a few days ago by someone who knows my situation and suggested that rather than put the items in auction, I might be able to sell them to true fans here. thatโs the honest truth and I donโt know what anyone else here might need to hear but my suggestion is doesnโt hurt to be a little friendly to someone who is new or give advice as to how things might work. The bottom line is I have those works and many others and Iโm trying to find good homes for them and I hope I can hear and that it isnโt just a bunch of negativity, a little bit of which can be seen above and just the last few hours. Iโm disabled myself and I learned a long time ago that negativity breeds illness and disease and I hope you can find since your ways to be positive with others in your life, and maybe new people who joined this forum.
The forum has heard every reason for needing to sell, so adding a story doesnโt actually help your cause, but can hinder it (as 99.9% wonโt believe it, even if it is true).
If you really want to sell then you will have a better chance by including actual photos (not stock or Artsy) and ask realistic prices as the forum is more switched on than you wished for.
New members will always find it harder to sell as there is no history, trust or reputation, especially when dealing with large sums of money. You may be better contacting galleries to sell on your behalf (for a percentage fee).
