Recommended Framers Ireland, by eyectopus on Sept 24, 2020 12:37:35 GMT 1, Can anyone recommend framers in Ireland? I am based in Dublin and need to get some new frames and reframing done using conservation materials by an experienced framer.
I have seen some photos of work by Hang Tough and I am very impressed but just wanted to get an idea of other options or peoples experiences with framing in Ireland.

Recommended Framers Ireland, by Dermoth on Sept 24, 2020 12:42:10 GMT 1, Artisan Frames. I know they do a lot for the galleries in Dublin and they were recommended to my by Gormleyโs. I have a few pieces with them at the moment but they have been really easy to deal with and know their stuff.

I was also recently searching for proper conservation framing and sent enquiries around various places like the National Gallery print dept and a paper print conservation studio and in the end was directed to Artisan Frames.
Took some pieces to them and checked everything with regards to fully reversible techniques, etc and just go them back recently and very pleased with the results.

Checking with gallerys and the conservator is a great idea. I went with Hang Tough in the end and was very happy with the framing.
