KF foundation was formed one year before he died, I imagine that last year he wasnโt in the best of health and wasnโt concentrating on making sure the people of the foundation would know exactly what works he had produced.

IMO this is why we are seeing the real money flow into the Banksy market now..... they have confidence and can see there is a level of safety.

It's kind of like graded cards in the exploding sports cards market. Though, graded cards have the advantage of having the condition rated and being encapsulated.
Adding a condition layer could add some further scarcity to the print market and would send items graded as 'mint' even higher.
I sound like a bear, but this run-up in Banksy and sports cards terrifies me. Makes me think many people are going to be left holding bags. But, I said that in 2008-2009 too and I was largely incorrect. We'll see.
Oh, and on artists' foundations authenticating, there has been much scandal on the authentication of known fake pieces, and the rejection of known real pieces, etc. Google up the Warhol board. They made some head scratching decisions. On the Haring Foundation, remember that there is no such thing as an authenticated subway drawing.

I bought some Coby Whites...... I think Iโll stick to the B market !! ๐
