GDP Thrower, by mrutland on Oct 11, 2020 16:17:42 GMT 1, Holy smokes! Is everyone seeing what that GDP print is selling for on the bay right now? I want one pretty bad, just not that bad. I think these are going to be worth quite a bit one day, I just don't know what. The market is so insane right now. I wonder if this is just the new norm, or if the bottom is going to fall out on Banksy art over the course of the next couple of years?
I do stand by what I said in the sales posts. I'm willing to pay $4k for a GDP thrower (if anyone wants to part with theirs), hell I'll even throw in shipping costs. But I'm not willing to pay $6k plus taxes, plus shipping, plus import. Seems insane to me.

I guess that's the value that I place on it, i.e, what I would be willing to pay to put it on my wall. Is it still insane to pay $4k for a piece of paper that was handed out for free on the streets? maybe

Fairly sure that argument applies to any print these days, some of which were practically free.

Very true. The market is what it is because people are willing to shell out huge money for this art. It will be interesting to see what this market is like in say....20 years. Will an original Banksy be bringing in original Warhol kind of money? Will we be looking at original canvas' in the millions of dollars?

This guy's a chancer... sure, he's probably on here. Was pestering me for a print I didn't even have on the presumption that he 'thought' we did an Ebay sale years ago... which we didn't. Took a fair bit to get him to FrickOff.....
