Harland Miller Poster f*ck dancing , by iamzero on Oct 27, 2020 17:43:06 GMT 1, Iโve had many great vintage clothing finds in charity shops. Jarvis Cocker And Britpop ruined it all in 96ish when he said thatโs where he gets jackets from. There were traders pillaging charity shops after that and charging a fortune.

Harland Miller Poster f*ck dancing , by cizza19 on Oct 27, 2020 17:50:10 GMT 1, it's not for traders, you just get a lot of weird angry posts on here for some reason though, discussion about actual art doesn't seem to be most peoples goal! This thread has made me chuckle, not sure what is wrong with some posters - it's a nice find even if not worth anything FYI to those who have never haggled in a charity shop, I have, in fact I've haggled in Woolworths back in the day when I was a student (I got an Xbox hard drive for 35% off) on the flipside I've also successfully haggled in Celine too (30% a display purse) it's always worth opening to conversation Cizza - I want to go shopping with you! Damn - 30% off a Celine handbag is like $1000.00ish US - who knew you could haggle at the high end shops... Learn something new everyday, and on an art forum no less. oh it was a purse not a bag, I think I paid ยฃ200ish in the end (which is still really good for the brand!), it was for my girlfriend at the time (now my wife)
I love getting a deal so when she wants something it usually falls to me, I don't like paying full price if I can help it
and since we're talking Celine AND charity hops I actually managed to find her a black Maxi Luggage in one last year for ยฃ750 (I haggled of course) that looked almost new (went to have it checked for authenticity almost immediately)

Harland Miller Poster f*ck dancing , by tab1 on Oct 27, 2020 18:34:21 GMT 1, As a vinyl hunter Iโve walked away from many an Oxfam due to them and their over eager pricing. Some member of staff looking up the price from the Record Collector Price Guide behind the counter... keep it. Funny to see second hand Primark T-shirtโs in there with an asking price of twice what you could probably buy it for new these days. Primark may as well rename themselves Landfill since that's where it all ends up and most still with the labels on! ย In the last place I managed a few of the regulars were fashion stylists and photographers and their donations were amazing. ย I think you may have liked my old shop particularly when they'd just finished a sportswear shoot, I'd regularly get a delivery of limited edition Adidas product before it was even released! ย It really is down to who manages the shop and who and what they know about product.
The internet has changed charity Found bargains , they are up to date with all prices on all valuable Items mostly

He did pay full price though no haggling.
