POW Cardboard Tube, by trowel on Nov 5, 2020 23:01:10 GMT 1, I've seen galleries try to use a POW tube as provenance, as though you couldn't just buy any old crap from POW and get one of their tubes back in the day; I must have 20 of them in the loft.
If having a genuine tube really matters to anyone (and I don't think anyone should get hung up on it), the POW address changed a few times over the years and you can use it and the postmark on the label to see if the timing matches up with the date print availability.
But in no way rely on it solely if you're looking to authenticate a piece as genuine.
