I didn't see it myself, but Coach was kind enough to link the story in the books! books! books! thread the other day. A great story for a fantastic cause, and hopefully many more members picked up books as a result of your posts.
I don’t know whether anyone has been following the story of Background Bob. His IG explains it all. www.instagram.com/background_bobThe project is that Bob paints the backgrounds and participating artists add their work on top to create a collaboration with Bob. Huge number of artists involved including many that are discussed here. The work now forms part of an exhibition. Eventually the work will be sold for charity. The project was featured on the One Show a couple of days ago. It’s on another programme on Sunday morning. It really has captured the public’s support it seems. The book is available from here colchesteripswichcharity.org.uk/supporters-events/backgroundbob/The book arrived yesterday and is smashing. I was proud to see 8Mail’s work included. The project was featured on Sunday Morning Live this morning. Quite a coup to now have Jonathan Yeo involved! I would encourage purchase of the book.

There are some great little pieces going up for auction next year. Looking forward to seeing how they get on.
