to be honest I only bought mine because I knew it may be my last chance to get a banksy print at a normal price. stick it up on the wall for a few months, enjoy then swap/sell it. I'm definatly gonna keep it now though. Β£300 does make me laugh - its been Β£75 for at least 2 years!

In 2006, you could still get Love Rats and Toxic Mary prints that had been sitting a long time. Probably more as well, but I'm sure of those two because I bought several the day before my wedding in June, 2006.

This has been the story all along. Be it originals, prints, posters or postcards there has always been a secondary market despite often still being available from source for less. Difference now is the huge jump in prices.

Why would someone sell him one so he could in theory then sell it for silly ebay prices
Probably easier and more straightforward to sell at silly ebay prices with paypal etc anyway
