Banksy ‘Bird with Grenade’ (2002) auction, by acme on Nov 14, 2020 1:53:13 GMT 1, no pc, doesn't mean its not real. The paper trail is pretty solid.
- This Art Object of Banksy comes with a Letter of Provenance form Richard Duardo of Modern Multiples. (Richard Duardo was a printmaker in L.A. who worked with Banksy around 2006 and made many prints of Banksy).
- A handwritten letter from Michael Slate. Michael Slate is the host of The Michael Slate Show, a weekly public affairs show on KPFK FM, the Pacifica Network station in Los Angeles. Michael Slate declare in this letter that he was present while Banksy created this spray paint ‘Bird with Grenade’ in the autumn of 2002 on a column at the Libros Revolucion (Library) in Los Angeles.

Banksy ‘Bird with Grenade’ (2002) auction, by mrizzle on Nov 14, 2020 3:08:11 GMT 1, What did the man from The Antiques Roadshow say about street pieces again..? He was right then and he’s right now. I appreciate that it looks incredibly well preserved but it was intended to be enjoyed by the public and in situ, doesn’t sound like it was ever intended to go into anyone’s private collection.
Perhaps I have misunderstood it’s origins or am being unusually curmudgeonly given it is 2am and I would rather like to be asleep at this point.
Looks to be in wonderful condition but I do wonder why it was removed.

You lost me after modern multiples. Maybe I should read the links, but did the guy from MM sell it to michael slate? Then what? Who then possibly left it to his house made “beryll” after the loss of jamo their pet salamander, who was present with Banksy when he sprayed the grenade in summer 02 not my "provenance"
Anyway, if I had 150K lying around I would buy something with pc for sure
