After a long fight with a rare form of leukemia, sadly Hyruo went into remission recently and passed away earlier today. Anyone who knew her knows what a special place she held on the scene, bringing poetry and depth to a an often too masculine environment. A sad day for the scene. R.I.P Tamara aka Hyuro.

It was so interesting to talk with her, such a special person. A lot more interested by her project and the meaning of it , rather than making money. She will be missed a lot (at least by me)

how fascinating was her way of make art! Absolutely, such a sad loss for the scene and created so much in such a short period of time. Think she painted her first wall late 2010, we did this in 2011. She arrived almost fully developed, I love her studio work also, not easy to be so brutally direct in watercolour, usually a more flowery loose form. Great to see she's been honoured in a new exhibition. |
