Banksy COA question, by JW on Dec 3, 2020 16:25:42 GMT 1, I hope someone here can help me. I have just bought my first Banksy print. Do I have to send the COA to Pest Control to register change of ownership - ie do I have to get a new COA issued in my name? Or do they just update the new owner info on their database? pestcontroloffice.com/real.asp

Banksy COA question, by Dermoth on Dec 3, 2020 16:56:16 GMT 1, As above, follow the process that’s been posted. I’ve been in touch this week on a print. It takes a while to get sorted and they may ask some follow up questions, but they’ll get it sorted. It’s painless but just need to be patient.

When you say been in touch, did they get back to you within a few days?

Not in a few days from the application. They asked follow ups to my requests on Monday. I responded on Tuesday. They responded back Wednesday. So I found them to be very responsive but they have a backlog that they are working through.

Banksy COA question, by dreadware on Dec 5, 2020 18:57:12 GMT 1, Still not answered my question. Do I have to send in the COA and apply for a new one? Or just inform them that I am the new owner and keep the existing COA? You can ask directly : customerservices@pestcontroloffice.com

Banksy COA question, by Lazarus II on Dec 5, 2020 19:07:23 GMT 1, Still not answered my question. Do I have to send in the COA and apply for a new one? Or just inform them that I am the new owner and keep the existing COA? not as far as im aware. You request change of ownership advising when you bought it and who you bought it from and they will request confirmation from both parties.Ive always just retained the existing COA supplied with the print id purchased.

Banksy COA question, by John The Badgers on Dec 7, 2020 13:58:59 GMT 1, As above, I believe you retain the existing COA.
Complete the details required, some photos of edition numbers as directed on the website, you then get confirmation of the change of ownership when they have 'authenticated' it.
Perhaps have a look at this section on the site -

Banksy COA question, by Lazarus II on Dec 7, 2020 16:20:28 GMT 1, I got a change of ownership confirned today. Applied earlier this year mid summer and wouldve been straightforward from a PC perspective as i bought it from Greek Street gallery circa 2009.
No mention of the need to change the certificate, was just the normal change of ownership email from them.
