new amateur member looking for advice, by nimmo on Dec 14, 2020 13:42:15 GMT 1, Hi everyone, i'm just an amateur, and today i made a 2x2 mt. stencil; a pretty big one for me. it was a 4 layer stencil. i'm posting some videos to show a little workflow, hoping that you could advise me about my flaws. My biggest problem was that i couldn't match the the layers. i used 250gr. paper taped with paper tape. Any advice should consinder the most economic solution , i printed with my printer and all is handcut.
Unfortunately it is not possible to upload videos, so i post a facebook link, hoping it won't break any rule.

The vellum coating prevents the substrate from absorbing the paint and thus prevents a lot of the warping that you are probably experiencing from the paper. It will be more difficult to cut thru than paper (due to its thickness). Additionally since it is a multi-layer stencil, you might include some registration marks, like printers include in screen printing. This way you know how they should register to each other.
