900 billion stimulus plan, by artdelight on Dec 21, 2020 21:52:43 GMT 1, Usa is giving another 900 billion stimulus plans, that means that prices of Banksy prints will rise drastically in 2021. Covid-19 quarantine proved right that Banksy is the best hedge commodity against hyperinflation. But don't sell Banksy, because Banksy is movement and idea.

There's no guarantee it'll be banksy prints that see the action (or Tesla shares, or bitcoins, or sneakers etc), but you'll keep seeing crazy price moves. It's like pushing down a big air mattress - it has to bounce up somewhere
Better just to think of it as the major currencies deflating away as they get ever more eroded by the printing press

900 billion stimulus plan, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Dec 22, 2020 0:35:16 GMT 1, It's crazy times and could well continue, lots of assets are rising, car sales are booming, house prices rising. Ours has gone up 10% since march. So many renovations taking place on houses around where we live then people are flipping the house. Then move onto next house. No international travel next year also so people will have more money to spend.
Here in Australia the government money is suppose to stop in March? Then you'd think things would simmer down ?, all depends on unemployment and if it's high the government will keep pumping money into the system to maintain the votes..
So 2021 I think banksy prices will keep on rising, maybe not the big rises we've seen this year, but we'll see..

The crash will be spectacular but time won’t bring it about, I don’t know what will but normally it is not what we expect.
The last nine months has shown me that, central banks have one job - stability. technological advancement are far ahead of general consciousness; old world companies getting destroyed by new world, vaccine creation was faster than any serious Expert predicted, more people than ever have access to the informational foundations to make leaps forward.
Inflation is everywhere and nowhere: in demand is rocketing, commodity is falling. If I could hold 1 thing (other than Banksy) - Platinum

Unless you consider the fact that most millennials/gen-zers can’t afford even the most modestly priced Banksy, and the majority of them are being scooped up by a small handful of buyers at these auctions. Plenty of prints available currently at a variety of galleries not moving at their asking prices.
Something still doesn’t feel entirely right about the way things have turned over the past 12 months. I’m new to this game but even I can tell eyebrows should be raised when you see prints sell for £10-15k regularly for years and suddenly trade at rates 3-4 times above that.

It doesn't feel right because it's a bubble. Especially the stuff without a coa from pc is a bubble and a manipulated market. You can get signed editions from living artists as big or bigger than Banksy for less than what someone is paying for a poster. And the prices of unsigned prints... You can get originals from said artists for less than an unsigned Banksy print.
Because Banksy is movement and everybody heard about Banksy

Not the right comparison to make.
From 2010 through 2019 most of Banksy’s works increased by what I’d consider an expected and reasonable amount (couple thousand every couple years). A 3-4 fold increase that completely defied the artist’s sales trends over the course of a year is suspect.

Hope your safe in the States mate, it hasn't been good viewing seeing how the country has been smashed by covid. Hope it improves quickly in 2021 👍

900 billion stimulus plan, by artdelight on Dec 22, 2020 13:37:49 GMT 1, Usa is giving another 900 billion stimulus plans, that means that prices of Banksy prints will rise drastically in 2021. Eh? How on earth did you work that out? Out of every million Americans, I would hazard a guess that just one or possibly two people would buy a Banksy. And with $600 each, they're hardly going to get very far. This will make absolutely no difference whatsoever to Banksy prices.
Stimulus checks inflate prices of assets, so Banksy will become even more safe haven for collectors.

Banksy’s status as an artist has little to do with my point. No one has been able to explain the meteoric rise in prices this year. Nothing like this has happened to his market before (or most markets, for that matter). The only place you’re seeing real movement is at auction, which is probably the easiest to manipulate. A given print selling for roughly £8-12k for the past decade suddenly commanding regular sales of £40k+ is suspicious.
Regardless, a handful of Americans getting an extra $600 in their pockets isn’t going to do anything to sway the market either way. The folks receiving those checks likely aren’t in a position to even consider buying a Banksy.

900 billion stimulus plan, by Charlie Bronson on Dec 22, 2020 17:23:01 GMT 1, Fwiw, I have an uneasy feeling about what’s to come in 2021 in terms of the economy, social unrest etc. Everyone keeps talking about how bad 2020 was, but I feel like that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The “stimulus” package passed is a joke, and a slap in the face to any US taxpayer who is struggling to make ends meet right now.
Not to get political, and I’m no expert, but the fact that multi-billion aid packages to foreign countries were included in the package, while Americans only get $600, is a joke. If I’m missing something here, someone please enlighten me as to why that was necessary. Right now, some Americans are struggling more than those struggling in needy nations. There’s so much civil unrest going on right now, and when people are losing everything that’s exacerbated.
America is truly divided right now, and I’ve never seen this much hatred between differing political parties. Also, all it takes is one mutation of the virus that the vaccine can’t deter and it’s back to square one. I don’t know, seems like this crazy way of life is the new norm. I hope I’m wrong, but I see a much longer tunnel to the light than others do. On a side note, just send in the fucking aliens already.

I've also noticed the jehova's witnesses stopped coming around 🤔
