I don’t know But since a month I’m waiting for 6 items from different places ( L13 , books, Dope etc ) and some of Ebayer s make complain too for France via USA per example.
I’ve done my best, I do my best, we are living in a really messy situation about shipping etc.
Covid is an excuse ok, but not only, administrative custom, post office etc .. are too much sealed or ... invisible ( they take youths instead and there is a lot of robs ).
Does anyone know if there are problems sending packages from Germany to the UK? So should be fine.
German postal service is very good in general.
UK post not so much......

I have received a mail from eBay.uK as I’m selling sometimes item on there, that there will be changes in both countries will have to pay taxes ( 5 or 10 % ) more, for each selling !

I had a 'virtual' address in NI to get goods shipped over from the UK and to avoid higher postage charges to the Republic of Ireland. This service has now been suspended due to probable customs charges, increases in shipping and new VAT regulations.
I have bought quite a bit of art from UK sellers both on here, at auction and on ebay UK. If these charges come into effect, in all probability, I'll only be buying from within the EU.
Real shame but thats just one implication of the biggest own goal in history.

I don't think auction houses and private sellers in the UK quite understand the implications after 1st of Jan. Across the board have noticed the 'normal' delivery times have been slipping the last 2-3 weeks.
From the EU to UK, we typically use Fedex, very often a delay. No problem goods getting here, but have to factor in a delay.
Obviously the recent issues not helped, but bear in mind the volume at this time of the year, thinking this has just as much to do with it.
I'm sure it will work its way through.

I’m really exhausted by all this art does not coming, all these ebay/problems PayPal, all this mess ! I would not want sell or buy anymore art !

For example DPD stopped doing By 1000, or AM deliveries a couple of weeks ago.
Not sure which carrier you are using, but as mentioned, Fedex/TNT still operating, we had deliveries this morning from the EU albeit with a few days delay.

As for scaremongering about taxes after Jan 1st, "don`t panic" - the EU need`s the UK and whatever deal comes out it will allow for free trade without taxes for the foreseeable.

I’m waiting to ship to France from the UK and unable to do so with any by road service. Carriers by air are still available.

For example (and this has nothing to do with art) my home insurance which was paid by my mortgage company on Dec. 16th still hasn't reached the insurance company. I've heard the average wait time is about 3 weeks and that is if it's mailed in the US. |

Internally, my passport renewal still hasn’t arrived in Durham (from London) which was sent 3 weeks ago. I’m hoping it’s held up rather than lost
