I work next to a large depot, speak to a lot of drivers, and they are all saying how difficult things are at the moment.
Have found with people like Fedex/TNT their tracking a lot slicker, and able to rectify things if there are issues.

Problems sending art, by dbesibol5 on Jan 1, 2021 22:13:27 GMT 1, I have sent a package to California from UK on the 10th Dec and still says it’s leaving Heathrow, same update everytime I look??? Didn’t think the US was affected the same way that the EU would be. Royal Mail don’t have any answers 🤦♂️
FWIW I had something sent UPS priority from UK to SE US on 12/9 and I just received it yesterday. Customs took about 3 weeks.

I'm discussing the purchase of a piece from a UK based artist and she's telling me that she's currently unable to post to the US at the moment and is unsure for how long with will go on. Does anyone know anything about posting art from UK to US? Obviously makes purchasing art from UK a bit of a challenge if it can't even be posted to the US.

I have a couple pieces sitting in Norwich that were purchased from forum members and framed by MFM. Tried like hell to get them out before EOY but everyone was slammed/closed. Was told by FL that I I need an EORI to fully insure and import to the US (SE). I plan on tackling/figuring out next week.

As my grandmother would say, Oy Veh!!! Sounds like what used to be a breeze is now a real hassle. How much of this is COVID vs Brexit? Seems like the perfect storm tbh. Massive delays stateside due to shortage of employees combined with new regs that nobody really understands.

Noted. Also was just informed by the artist that she's able to send to the US now - so the pause is lifted but that doesn't mean customs isn't going to take ages.

Im yet to see what brexit effect is both on costs and timing.
