nick walker morning after artist proof, by kentkid on Apr 7, 2008 18:14:43 GMT 1, It's a crying shame that a turd like this is able to get hold of not only a 1 of 2 blue Pop Tart, but also a Nick Walker Artist Proof.
Maybe BRP need to be a little more selective with who they sell their prints too...

If this did happen it would be a shame. Ive always been told- First ome first served. Simple. Im going thru soemthing at the moment where this so called policy has happened and im 110% pis ed off.

nick walker morning after artist proof, by gtf on Apr 7, 2008 21:07:19 GMT 1, BRP probably sold it to someone they thought was a fan at a price well below market value. For him to sell on so quickly makes a mockery of this.
So IMO his money is not as good as anyone else's.

Everyone who buys a print etc is "supposed" to be a fan. You cant have one price for him and another for her! If they do Trading Standards would be interested in hearing about it!

Missing the point. BRP sold it for ~£400 knowing it is worth >£1k to keep the art affordable for people, not so Bean2Bag can make a wedge of cash.

Its worth what someone is willing to sell/buy it for. If it was worth £1,000 to BRP they should have sold it for exactly that. I still think even at £1,000 the "wrong" person could still have purchased it (an extra six hundred sheets don't make much difference in the long run) This making "art affordable" is silly - if they want to make it affordable just do unlimited runs/re presses - then the art itself is indeed "worthless" but everyone can "afford" to purchase because they like the piece!

I'm actually a fan of unlimited releases. Unlimited does not make the art worthless. I've bought the Josh Keyes release on tinyshowcase which is unlimited and a lot of others have as well. It has been bought to look at and enjoy not to keep in tube/portfolio to sell at a later date for profit.
I would like galleries to sell at true market value to kill the hype and stop the speculators. We're moving into "Tulip Mania" territory now and it could all come crashing down. I personally don't care since my collection is for the walls not for making money.
