I bought something from this gallery and have the past couple of months been in a dispute with them. For me this was a expensive purchase and now i am left without a print and no cash. I see that they advertise on this forum and wondering if anyone else have any experience buying form them, and want to share their experience? (https://www.streetartplace.com/)
Since the dispute is still open, im not sure if i should go into details here (yet). But would love to hear if anyone have experience dealing with this gallery.

Not the politest dude, but he said snd it back and ill refund you. I sent it back, and after a couple of weeks, I got a mail where they claim to have received an empty tube :/
The short story is. I bought a print, that was damaged when I received it.. the reason for the damage was that they had put free postcards in with the print. One of the postcards ended up damaging the print badly :/

I don't know where you stand with this, as it's your word against theirs. If you or gallery sent with the post office, then it would have been weighed, so that could be something to go on.

Have been back and forth with the gallery for a couple of months now, without a solution :/ Had to start a Paypal claim, hope they can help me out on this one. The last update from Paypal was, "send the product back and the seller will refund you".. that doesn't help me much :/ Might lose the 750 euro I paid, that kinda sucks :/

I am sorry for the OP but it is a very complex situation and therefore I also understand the difficult position of the seller (who must however also protect his interests)

A horrible position to be in and I don't know who will win the dispute and how they can come to a decision. Good luck and please keep us updated though, as I would be interested to know how it works out.

The carrier i used does not offer insurance for international shippings. Informed the gallery about that and they told me to send it anyway.

The problem is that its not possible to replace the print. It was a PP of a print that is unreleased, which is the only reason i couldn't resist the temptation. Big fan of the artist and when a rare gem like this appeared, i couldn't resist. If it was minor damages, i might have just kept the print. But the dent was really huge, and impossible to hide during framing.
I hope the buyer protection helps, or that paypal helps me out here.

Not sure if that was a smart move, but the reason i used money in the gallery was because of that one print. So settling for anything else was not really an option in this case.

But not solutions i was happy with. Since it was not possible to replace the print with a new one, i wanted my money back. So i said no thanks to the solution they proposed. It could also be worth contacting the artist direct if that's possible, as they might have a replacement print.

I question the safety of postcards, especially in a narrow tube. If in contact with the ink you'd think a corner could potentially scratch the print.

I really liked the black variant, but its now forever lost. If anyone counter someone selling this one, with a baaaad corner damage, then stay away.
I get that galleries put in stickers etc.. but postcards is a dangerous game. In this case many of the cards ended up in the bottom of the roll, and the print was "resting" on them. one of the card ended up damaging it badly.

I kinda agree with you, there are allot of people trying to capitalize on a situation like this. But can assure you that i am not one of them.
