Got two Durant hand sprayed works for $50 each respectively. Love them both. An absolute bargain for a bonefide 'Blue Chip' artist.

I was mocked at the time if I recall for calling them the "bargain of the year".

No surprise that one of the sprayed pieces just sold on eBay after sitting for a bit. Power of the forum 🤣 still a bargain.

haha, well argued, but disagree all you like, you'd still be wrong. But as you say, he does tend to trigger sheepish Christian Conservatives and other Republicans so I get your ire. Imagine art taken from civil rights street protests of the 60's being transplanted into privileged spaces and triggering an emotional response, you know, doing what good art is supposed to do. Almost like those messages are not supposed to be there, making people feel uncomfortable, corrupting their white supremacy spaces. The horror. :-)

Nice try, but I doubt you'll learn anything more from an art forum on the topic than you would a selection of scholarly books, documentaries or peer reviewed papers on the subject.
