Original vs Prints, by Humble Art Collector on Jan 22, 2021 17:35:05 GMT 1, a few questions here with my answers:
1. Do you mind having an original that has prints made of it. No
2. In general do editions lower the value of an original? I do not think so
3. Do you think it is ok if an artist makes a print/edition of a commissioned painting (not a painting they did for a show)? Without telling you? (and yes they own the copyright but it was a commission not a show work) No, but I am surprised about how often it has happened. For me it makes me feel like they are exceptionally happy with the work. Or trying to make more money off the effort which is also a good thing.
3. Would you by an original at a show if a print was made of it? Yes, would feel like an honor
