apparently the artist Backa D was employed by Virgin for the task and used the famous image without Banksy`s permission .....

This sounds like the crap the guy on ebay who keeps relisting the proof of it keeps saying.
Its a bootleg record, on a small indie label. Not hard to have a bootleg sleeve too....
Banksy isn't exactly known to sue people. His attitude to copyright is well known.

I can... and not even limited editions as such.
I've been selling records and promo records as a sideline to djing and producing for years.
Original promos of the shapeshifters - 'lolas theme' on nocturnal groove were selling for LOADS more than this dirty funker one, as were the initial promos of Eric Prydz 'call on me'.
Couple of other examples I could name also of things that have been in HUGE demand- like literally stick them on ebay and gone in 30 seconds- and more or less name your price because they have been THAT sought after.
Nothing like that in that last year to 18 months though.... because the download market killed the vinyl and promo market totally... 
Of course, this one is in demand for completely the opposite reason....

Pretty much so... fecking dreadful too... but the public lapped it up, they always do (Shapeshifters, Benny Benassi, that awful put your hands up for detroit tripe)...
