Also even when Banksy didn't have money he was a little discerning about his artwork commissions - Wall of Sound, Badmeaninggood, Monk & Canatella. How on earth anyone thought he'd suddenly put his name to any old bollocks is beyond me.

It's as official as the rat on the door that recently sold on ebay for over a grand so ยฃ10 seems pretty cheap to me.
Just for arguements sake if I/we release an album with an image taken from Banksy's shop, is it an official release as Banksy himself has given his permission for this image to be re-used?

There's nothing to apologise for. I collect Banksy stuff. Official or not I thought these were worth paying ยฃ6.99 for, so I bought a white & a brown one. I was under no illusions that these were anything other than what they are though.... a cheap way to sell a few thousand records. Banksy has always stated that he has a lax attitude to copyright, so though it's a pretty lousy thing to do, he's hardly going to persue them for copyright infringement. By all means buy the record, add it to your collection, stick it on the wall. But it's not worth 50 long threads on the forum!!
