Just bought them because I could never afford an original. As Banksy would say though. "I can't believe you morons actually buy this shit".... thinking it was legit.

high demand for the Dirty Funker records with Banksy artwork would have
ebbed considerably after the initial mania. However, that has not been the
case, as we have had a huge run on overseas orders again. Because of the
abnormally high continuing demand for this record, we will be limiting this
record ONLY to our U.S. customers with U.S. billing addresses. All non-U.S.
orders will be deleted on our website. Nothing has been charged to the
credit cards of customers yet, so there will be no need for any credit card
refunds

When the stock came there wasa big poster size print that gave all the info on the pressings, it had 3pictures of the different coloured vinyl. Each vinyl has a sticker that statesits official Banksy art work. Dirty Funker has had Banksy artwork on previousvinyl sleeves. I dont know what else there is to say.

Now that I find out that they are no more than those A3's on ebay, I wish I had just saved my money. This fourm did create a frenzy which I think enabled this whole scheme to go down. Don't know what you do about it.

If he was in on the joke isn't it official then my friend John who sold the banksy "punk heads" at bonhams recently reckons hes in on the joke, Johns a friend of Banksys from back in the early 90s, he did some stencils for his blow pop night at the Thekla, he bought the punk heads for ยฃ300 originally, he got ยฃ80k plus for it..............nice proft |
